I'm a financial planner and writer who believes financially free women can change the world. 

A typical ambitious oldest child, I spent decades accumulating prestigious degrees and jobs, striving, and building wealth. I won't bore you, but the details are on LinkedIn if you're interested. I also got married, bought my dream house, and collected all the designer shoes and handbags. Success! Right?

I spent twenty years in Dallas, Texas, helping some of the wealthiest families in the country manage their money. I worked at a boutique multi-family office and at one of the largest banks in the world. Gradually I realized that a huge net worth and well-designed portfolio are not the most important outcomes of good financial planning. The real mission is identifying your true values, overcoming biases, and using your money effectively to create a life and legacy that is in alignment with your purpose. 

A money-nerd from childhood when I opened my first brokerage account at 13, I was born a planner. But no matter how many goals I reached, the target kept moving. My employers were never satisfied, and my savings never felt like enough. I exhausted myself with to-do lists and personal growth content, but I still felt stuck. All along, I focused on what was next. My real, best life was always just past the next milestone. I was successful by any external measure, but it turns out that my goals were not aligned with my true desires and purpose. So naturally, achieving them didn't feel fulfilling. 

That vacation attitude

I'm grateful for the challenges that prompted me to redesign my life and the money that made it possible. Part of my purpose is showing you how to do it too. I believe all women deserve to be free, and that requires some level of financial independence. Not just for its own sake - so we can focus on what really matters.

After years of preparing for someday, I suddenly had no roadmap to cling to - and no more excuses. For the first time I had to tune in to what I really want and chose intentionally how to spend my time and money. And despite giving up a high income and status career, I felt more abundant than ever. That is the power of building an authentic life.
